Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data is collected when you use the Peech websites located at https://getpeech.com and https://peech.app (the "Website") and the Peech mobile applications and related services (collectively, the "Services"), how such personal data is processed, and how you can exercise your privacy rights.
The Services are provided by Dopefin Limited, a company registered and acting under the laws of the Republic of Cyprus with registration number HE 433208, having its registered address at Florinis, 7, Greg Tower, 2nd floor, 1065 Nicosia, Cyprus ("Peech", "we", "us"). Peech is the data controller of your personal data processed as described in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.
1. Categories of Personal Data We Collect
Data you provide to us voluntarily. When you register a profile or use the Services, you may provide us with your name, email address, password, and preferences related to your use of the Services. If you contact our support, we also process the information you include in your request.
Your content. The core function of the Services is converting documents, texts, files, links and other materials that you choose to submit into audio for your own personal listening ("User Content"). We process and store your User Content and the resulting audio in order to provide the Services to you. Your User Content is private to your account: we do not publish it, share it with other users, or make it available to the public, and we access it only as necessary to operate, secure, support and improve the Services or as required by law. We do not use your User Content or the audio generated from it to train artificial intelligence models.
Data we receive from third parties. If you sign in through a third-party service (such as Sign in with Apple or Google), we receive the data that provider shares with us, such as your name and email address, in accordance with that provider's privacy settings.
Data we collect automatically. When you use the Services, we automatically collect data about your device and usage, such as device language settings, IP address, time zone, type and model of device, device settings, operating system, Internet service provider, mobile carrier, hardware identifiers and other unique identifiers (such as IDFA and AAID), and information about how you interact with the Services (for example, features used, listening activity metrics, session and crash data).
Payment data. Payments are processed by the app marketplace through which you made your purchase or, for purchases on our Website, by our third-party payment processor. We do not store or collect your full payment card details ourselves. We receive limited transaction data (such as the subscription purchased, transaction status and timestamps) necessary to provide you with the paid features of the Services.
2. For What Purposes We Process Personal Data
2.1 To provide the Services. We process your account data, User Content and technical data to operate the Services, convert your materials into audio, synchronize your library across devices, maintain your usage allowance and credit balances, and prevent and fix technical errors.
2.2 To customize your experience. We process your preferences and usage data to tailor the Services to you, including personalized settings and offers.
2.3 To manage your account. We process your data to secure access to your account and to send you technical and transactional notifications about the Services, including notifications regarding security, payments and changes to our terms and policies.
2.4 To communicate with you regarding the use of the Services. We may send you service communications, such as push notifications and emails, including reminders. You can opt out of push notifications in your device settings and unsubscribe from emails via the link in the email footer.
2.5 To provide customer support. We process your requests and related data to respond to your questions and resolve issues.
2.6 To conduct research and analytics. We process technical and usage data to understand how users interact with the Services, analyze and improve our operations, and conduct statistical analysis. We often decide how to improve the Services based on the results of this processing.
2.7 To send you marketing communications. Where permitted, we may send you marketing emails or push notifications about the Services. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email or your device settings.
2.8 To personalize our advertising. We and our advertising partners may use technical data and identifiers to show you tailored ads for our Services on other platforms. You can limit ad personalization in your device settings: on iOS, via Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking and Apple Advertising; on Android, via Settings, Privacy, Ads.
2.9 To process payments and refunds. We process transaction data to activate your purchases, manage subscriptions, allowances and credits, and handle refund requests, including verification of eligibility for refunds.
2.10 To enforce our terms and prevent fraud and abuse. We process data to enforce our Terms and Conditions of Use, detect and prevent fraud, abuse of usage limits and credits, unauthorized access and other harmful activity, and to protect our legal rights, including sharing information with law enforcement or other authorized parties where necessary.
2.11 To comply with legal obligations. We may process data where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:
3.1 Performance of a contract: providing the Services (including processing your User Content into audio), managing your account, providing customer support, sending service communications, and processing payments (Sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, 2.9).
3.2 Legitimate interests (unless overridden by your interests and rights): research and analytics (our interest in improving the Services), marketing and personalized advertising (our interest in promoting the Services appropriately), enforcement and fraud prevention (our interest in protecting our Services, users and legal rights) (Sections 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 2.10).
3.3 Consent: where required by applicable law, for example for certain marketing communications or tracking technologies. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
3.4 Compliance with legal obligations (Section 2.11).
4. With Whom We Share Your Personal Data
4.1 Service providers. We share personal data with third-party providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions to help us operate the Services. These providers fall into the following categories: app marketplaces through which you downloaded the App; cloud hosting and infrastructure providers; artificial intelligence and speech synthesis processing providers that convert your User Content into audio; payment processors; analytics providers; advertising and attribution partners; and communication and customer support providers. These providers are permitted to use your data only to provide their services to us. You may request further information about our service providers by contacting us at support@getpeech.com.
4.2 Law enforcement and public authorities. We may disclose personal data where necessary to enforce our terms, protect our rights, privacy, safety or property or that of our users or third parties, or to respond to lawful requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, regulatory agencies, and other public and government authorities.
4.3 Corporate transactions. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction as a business asset.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your User Content with other users or make it publicly available.
5. How You Can Exercise Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
a. access, review, update and correct your personal data;
b. request erasure of your personal data (note that we may retain certain data where we have a legal obligation or other lawful basis to do so);
c. object to or restrict the processing of your personal data;
d. receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability); and
e. lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State of your habitual residence.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@getpeech.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
6. Age Limitation
We do not knowingly process personal data from persons under 16 years of age. If you learn that anyone younger than 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@getpeech.com and we will take steps to delete such data.
7. International Data Transfers
We may transfer personal data to countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected in order to provide the Services and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Where we transfer personal data originating from the EEA or the UK to countries that have not been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, we use appropriate safeguards, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy (including providing the Services to you), which in general corresponds to the period during which your account remains active. We may retain certain data for longer where necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements.
9. Account Deletion
You can delete your account via the settings in the App or on the Website, or by contacting us at support@getpeech.com. Upon deletion, your account becomes unusable and you lose access to your User Content, audio library and any paid features, and unused allowances and credits are forfeited. We will delete your personal data within a reasonable period after your request, except for limited data we retain as described in Section 8. Deleting the App or your account does not by itself cancel your subscription: please cancel your subscription first (via the relevant App Store or, for web purchases, via your account or our support) to avoid further charges.
10. Supplemental Notice for California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (the "CCPA"), provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information.
Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (such as name, email address, IP address, device identifiers); commercial information (such as purchase history); internet or other electronic network activity information (such as usage data); audio or electronic information contained in User Content you submit; and inferences drawn from the above. The sources of this information, the purposes of its processing and the categories of recipients are described in Sections 1, 2 and 4 of this Privacy Policy.
Your rights: subject to applicable exceptions, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction of your personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will require verification of your identity and the agent's authority.
No sale of personal information: we do not sell personal information, nor do we have actual knowledge of any sale of personal information of minors under 16 years of age. To the extent that the use of advertising technologies is considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA, you may opt out by contacting us at support@getpeech.com with the subject "CCPA Opt-Out Request".
To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at support@getpeech.com.
11. Supplemental Notice for Other US States
Residents of certain other US states (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Utah) may have similar rights under applicable state privacy laws, including the right to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of personal data, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising. We do not process personal data for the purpose of selling it or for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise your rights, or to appeal a refusal to act on your request, contact us at support@getpeech.com.
12. Do Not Track
The Services do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. Third-party services we use apply their own policies regarding such signals; please review the privacy policies of those services for details.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we decide to make material changes to it, we will notify you through the Services or by other available means and provide you with the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. Any other changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
